Bookmaker William Hill has signed a deal to enter Spain's sports betting arena.
The bookmaker has reported a thirty percent increase in high profits on Tuesday.
The profits have increased from over twenty nine percent to one hundred sixty millions pounds within the first quarter of the year compared to the one hundred twenty three million pounds last year.
William Hill had signed a joint agreement with Codere, a Spanish gaming company.
William Hill and Codere plan to launch a sports betting business in Spain.
The shares of William Hill had an increase of 2.6% to 606 pence. The value of the group is more than two billion pounds.
Citi Group analysts say that the results show a positive form to the company after a number of poor sports results.
The revenue bets from William Hill betting shops fell over 1.3% and then increase to 1.1% at the betting shops that it just acquired from Stanley Leisure.
Electronic gaming machines, known as FOBTs, which grew revenues by twenty seven percent at the Stanley shops, boosted the betting shops.
According to William Hill, the revenues generated during the World Cup have amounted to more than seventeen millions pounds.
In the recent weeks, the revenues have increased over thirteen percent.
